Cookie policy

This page describes the website’s management methods concerning the use of cookies and the related processing of personal data of users who browse it.

Cookies are small text files that the websites visited send to the user’s terminal (desktop, tablet, smartphone, notebook), where they are stored to be retransmitted to the same sites upon subsequent visits. They are used for computer authentication, session monitoring, and storing information about sites. While browsing a website, the user may also receive cookies on their terminal that are sent from different sites or web servers (so-called “third parties”).

The cookies we use are technical ones.

Technical cookies allow for an easy use of the website and facilitate the retrieval of information by simplifying the connection and data transmission between the user and the website.

 Specifically, we use temporary and persistent browsing or session cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the website—allowing, for example, the saving of browsing-related information and data to keep the session active.

The installation of such cookies, which are automatically deleted when the browser is closed or upon logout, does not require the user’s prior consent.

We also inform you that, at any time, you can authorize, limit, or block cookies through your browser settings. However, if you set your device to reject these cookies, some website services may not display correctly or function optimally. In particular, operations that identify the user and maintain session identification may become more difficult and less secure in the absence of technical cookies.

Cookies can be classified in several ways according to different criteria.

Based on their duration, cookies can be divided into two types:

  • Session cookies: these are deleted as soon as you close your browser;
  • Persistent cookies: these are stored on your device for a longer period or permanently.

Based on their purpose, there are two categories: technical cookies and profiling cookies.

Technical cookies can be further subdivided into:

  • Browsing cookies,
  • Analytics cookies,
  • Functionality cookies.
  • Browsing cookies ensure normal navigation and use of the website (e.g., allowing purchases or user authentication to access reserved areas).
  • Analytics cookies are considered technical only when:
    • they are used solely to produce aggregate statistics related to a single website or mobile application;
    • in the case of third-party cookies, at least the fourth component of the IP address is masked;
    • the third parties do not combine these minimized analytics cookies with other processing (e.g., customer files or statistics from other sites) or transmit them to further third parties.
  • Functionality cookies allow the user to navigate based on selected criteria (e.g., language, selected products for purchase), in order to improve the quality of service provided.

Profiling cookies: these cookies are used to profile the user and send advertising messages aligned with the preferences shown by the user during browsing.

Based on the entity that installs cookies on the user’s terminal, cookies can be classified as first-party or third-party cookies.

  • First-party cookies: these are installed by the operator of the website the user is visiting.
  • Third-party cookies: these are installed on the user’s terminal by a website different from the one being visited. This installation occurs through the site the user is browsing.

Which data is saved in cookies?

Cookies do not store personal data. Therefore, the cookies we use cannot be attributed to a person and cannot be traced back to you in any way. Upon activation of the cookies, an identification code is assigned. At no time will it be possible to associate your personal data with this code, nor will we attempt to do so. Your name, IP address, and similar data that could identify you will never be used. Cookies allow us only to receive pseudonymized information regarding your experience on our website (e.g., most viewed products, etc.).

How can I avoid cookies being stored?

You can set your browser to accept cookies only upon request.
If you want to accept cookies but not those from our service providers or partners, you can select the “block third-party cookies” option in your browser.

Usually, in your browser’s help menu, you can find how to reject new cookies and disable existing ones.

If you use a shared computer set to accept cookies (including flash cookies), we recommend always fully logging out after use.
